  • The Coalition plans to facilitate implementation of science-based prevention programs strategies throughout the County. Curricula from the Five Year Plan currently in place include Project Northland, Strengthening Families, and The Incredible Years.

  • The Coalition is also consistently active in promoting and supporting the use of validated strategies throughout the County.

    • Community Policing is a validated strategy operative in some areas of Cortland County. The Cortland City Police Outreach Program (P.O.P) and its fine results is a clear example of the effectiveness of community policing.
    • Community mobilization is another validated strategy embraced and supported by the Coalition. The Housing Confabs of 2005 is an effort initiated and carried out by Coalition members and partners.
    • Public Awareness Efforts are initiated regularly by CACTC. In addition to its website, the Coalition publishes a newsletter several times a year in both print and electronic formats. [learn more]
