The Coalition plans to facilitate implementation of science-based prevention programs strategies throughout the County. Curricula from the Five Year Plan currently in place include Project Northland, Strengthening Families, and The Incredible Years.

The Coalition is also consistently active in promoting and supporting the use of validated strategies throughout the County.
- Community Policing is a validated strategy operative in some areas of Cortland County. The Cortland City Police Outreach Program (P.O.P) and its fine results is a clear example of the effectiveness of community policing.
- Community mobilization is another validated strategy embraced and supported by the Coalition. The Housing Confabs of 2005 is an effort initiated and carried out by Coalition members and partners.
- Public Awareness Efforts are initiated regularly by CACTC. In addition to its website, the Coalition publishes a newsletter several times a year in both print and electronic formats. [learn more]
