In September of 2019, Cortland Area Communities That Care (CACTC) was awarded a five year Strategic Prevention Framework-Partnership for Success (SPF-PFS) 19-004 grant through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The purpose of the grant is to “prevent the onset and reduce the progression of substance use and its related problems while strengthening prevention capacity and infrastructure at the community level.” The grant activities will target underage drinking in 9-20 year olds—one of the top prevention priorities in New York State and Cortland County.
